JASMINE LYNG, CT
Jasmine Lyng, CT (she/they) is a white, queer, neurodivergent femme in a straight-sized body serving as a practicum intern at CCW. Her personal experiences of disability, poverty, and complex trauma serve to inform their work with clients. Using feminist and anticolonial frameworks, Jasmine aims to cultivate a safe and collaborative therapeutic relationship to help clients harness empowering psychological resources during their therapeutic journey.
Jasmine attended multiple community colleges before ultimately joining the US Air Force to finish college, graduating in 2022 as a first-generation college student with a degree in Psychology from the University of California Santa Cruz. Jasmine currently studies at the Ohio State University working toward her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
Jasmine has experience using critical and feminist research paradigms working collaboratively with communities to organize and mobilize local resources. She is interested in working with marginalized folks with complex trauma, and is particularly passionate about working with neurodivergent adults within the LGBTQIA2S+ community. She enjoys working from strengths-based and neurodiversity-affirming interpersonal and humanistic perspectives.
In her spare time, Jasmine prioritizes getting outside for meandering hikes in the woods, car-camping, and cooking with friends
